Jain temples in Jaipur: A research project

Jain Research and Study Center, Jaipur has taken a new project for study and research. Jain scholars will study and research on " Jain temples in Jaipur". Mrs. Reena Baid, a Jain scholar will be in-charge of the research project. She will include almost 30 Shwetambar Jain temples in 30 KM radius of Jaipur. Malpura, a famous Jain pilgrimage center (95) KM from Jaipur will also be included in the project.

Sri Jain Shwetambar Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur has established a Jain Research and Study Center under its Jain University project. The center has started working in the field.

There are many Shwetambar Jain temples and Dadabadi in Jaipur. Some of them are renowned for their architecture and craftsmanship. Some have great historical importance. However, little is known about these temples and Dadabadi. There is, not even, a guidebook for indegenious and foreign tourists travelling to the Pink city. This research and study will help publishing a guidebook. This study will also trigger to other researches and studies about Jain temples and Jainism in this region.

We request scholars, historians and people at large to come forward to help and support the project. If you have any significant  information about Shwetambar Jain temples in jaipur please contact Mrs. Reen baid, 0141-252-4827.
