Dr. Sushma Singhvi described Arihant Parmesthi



Dr. Sushma Singhvi, Chair person, Rajasthan Sanskrit Academy described "Arihant Parmesthi" as Chief speaker at Shivji Ram Bhawan on Sunday, July 8. Shri Jain Shwetambar Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur has been organizing a lecture series on Panch Parmeshthi

July 8, was the first day of the lecture series and Dr. Sushma Singhvi was speaking as Chief speaker. She told that Arihant  is conqueror of all internal enemies such as anger, greed, craving etc. She added that one can be Arihant by observing  any of the twenty virtues known as Vees Sthanak. She emphasized on Ahimsa and Aparigraha as modes of worshiping Arihant. She appealed the audience for interospection, key factor to become an Arihant.

Dr. Sushma Snghvi is an eminent Jain scholar. She was instrumental in collection and publishing of "Aparigraha Vishwa Kosh" and presently working on "Nayachakrasara", a central government project.

There was "Arihant Vandanavali Mahapoojan" before her lecture. Large numbers of people along with eminent scholars and prominent personalities attended the Mahapoojan and the lecture. Sri Manak Chand Golechha, President, Shri Jain Shwetambar Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur, Sri Prakash Chand Surana and Sri Rajendra Bhansali, Convener, Chaturmas committee felicitated Chief guest Sri Lalit Nahta and Sri Sher Singh Rakyan, Presiding dignity, Delhi. Smt. Shobha Golechha felicitated Dr. Sushma Singhvi along with female executive members of the Sangh.

Sri Lakshimal Gautamchand Bothra family (Padmavati group) sponsored the event. Executive members of the Khartar Sangh felicitated the whole Bothra family for sponsoring the event.

  The event was organized in the auspices of .PP Vinay Muni, Mukti Muni and Sushil Muni; and PP Sadhvi Suyasha Sri and Prerna Sri, observing their Chaturmas at Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur.

Jyoti Kothari, Secretary Shri Jain Shwetambar Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur moderated the program. He informed that the Sangh is working hard in propagation of Jainism and Jainology. He added that Sangh is sponsoring encouraging researches and studies about Jainism and Jain communities. Sangh has already started facilitating foreign researchers studying Jainism

He also informed about the next program of the series. Dr. J B Shah, Director, L D Institute will deliver his lecture on Siddha Parmesthi on July 15.

The program was followed by a group lunch (Sadharmi Vatsalya)

Panch Parmesthi worship and lecture series: Arihant Pad: July 8: Day 1


We are glad to announce that Shri Jain Shwetambar Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur has been organizing Panch Parmesthi worship and lecture series (Five Sundays) at Shivjiram Bhawan, Johri Bazar, Jaipur between July 8 and August 5. We bow in reverence to these five Parmesthi while chanting Navkar Mantra.

We will worship Arihant Pad (Day 1) on July 8, Sunday. The event will start with Arihant Vandanavali Mahapoojan commencing from 7.30 AM. The Pooja will be followed by a lecture describing importance and significance of Arihant Parmesthi, the highest authority in Jainism.

Eminent Jain scholar Dr. Kusum Jain, Rajasthan University will deliver her scholarly lecture especially targeted to the young Jains.

Sri Lalit Nahta, founder President, Jain Shwetambar Kalyanak Tirth trust, New Delhi will be the Chief guest of the event. Sri Sher Singh Rakyan, Trustee, Chhoti Dadabadi, Delhi has kindly consented to preside over the program.

There will be Jap and Tap too to worship Arihant Parmesthi. PP Vinay Muni, Mukti Muni and Sushil Muni; and PP Sadvi Suyasha Sri and Prerna Sri are observing their Chaturmas at Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur. The event will be organized on their auspices. Other Jain nuns present in Jaipur such as PP Sumangala Sri, PP Nirmala Sri, PP Manoranjana Sri, PP Shubhankara Sri, PP Peeyushpoorna Sri etc are also invited in the program.

The program will be followed by Sadharmi Vatsalya (lunch). Sri Lakshimal Gautamchand Bothra family (Padmavati group) has sponsored the event.

Next events of the Panch Parmesthi worship and lecture series will be organized on July 15, 22, 29 and August 5, consecutive Sundays.

This type of program has been organized first time in Jaipur. All Jains are cordially invited.
