Dr. Rudi Jansma, a
Jain scholar from
Netherlands (Holland) visited
Shivjiram Bhawan today afternoon, May 11, 2012. He met with Jyoti Kothari, secretary, Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur
at his residence and then came to the headquarter of the Sangh. Both of them discussed several topics about
Jainism, ecology and environment related issues.
Dr. Jansma was introduced with Khartar Gachchh for the first time.
He visited
Jain library
at Vichkshan Bhawan, saw catalogs and read a book there. He spent lot
of time there. He told that there are few libraries in Europe which can
match this library. He praised the Sangh for maintaining a
Jain library with such collection. Jyoti Kothari informed him that the library is digitized.
Sri Jain Shwetambar Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur provides several facilities to foreign
Jain scholars such as
free food and lodging. Khartar Gachchh Sangh has become center of attraction for
foreign Jain scholars.

Dr. Rudi Jansma then proceeded to
Sri Suparshwanath Jain temple
(Panchayati Mandir) along with the secretary of the Sangh. He spent
enough time in the temple viewing Tirthankar idols, beautiful inlay
work, gold work in the walls and wall paintings. He was highly impressed
with these intigrated carvings and the details of the paintings.

Sri Mohanlal Daga, treasurer of the Sangh along with Sri Prakash Banthia felicitated Dr. Jansma. Jyoti Kothari invited him to come and stay long at
Malpur Dadabadi for research on Jainism. He assured him facilities. Dr. Jansma replied that he would stay at Malpura for his researches in his next visit to India.
This is worth noted that several noted Jain scholars visited Khartar Gachchh Sangh including Prof. John Cort, Denyson University, Prof. Alan Babb, Massachusetts University, Ms. Ellen, New York etc.
